The Véloscénie cycling route takes you on a journey of discovery through the History of France ,  illustrated by its most beautiful monuments and five sites listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.Between developed tracks, greenways, small signposted roads and forest paths, this cycling route takes you to the heart of the Chevreuse valley , the Perche and the Normandy bocage.
Live an extraordinary experience, between slow life , culture, nature, gastronomy and sports activities, it is a discovery of France from a new angle. For a week (or less), you can travel along the marked roads and paths of the Véloscénie.
At 65Km Paris on the road to Chartres La Grande de la Guesle, labeled "accueil vélo", is an ideal stopover on the Véloscénie.The place is bucolic and you can enjoy the Japanese garden and sauna to relax.It is also a nice stopover for a table d'hôtes with a growing reputation.

A day's ride from Paris on the Véloscéniedon't miss to visit us during your stay with us:
  • From Paris the northern route leads you to Versailles Palace not to miss its gardens and fountains.
  • You will then pass through the valley of chevreuse, multiple sites referenced on La Grange de la Guesle are also worth the detour.
  • 12 Km after Rambouillet La Grange de la Guesle welcomes you for a well deserved stopover, you will have reserved your table d'hôte and the Japanese sauna that we offer free of charge (upon reservation) will put your aches and pains to sleep.
  • The next day a stop is required at the castle of Maintenon.
  • You will end your day at the foot of the Chartres Cathedral in season
  • Chartres in light will amaze you.
